The Indianapolis District Office of the EEOC brought this suit against Dana Corporation, who designs and manufactures motor vehicle components, in November 1998, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. The only documents available were the district court docket and the appellate court docket. At the district court level the case was terminated after a summary judgment was granted for the defendant. The motion was granted on October 25, 1999. Prior to that the court had only decided a joint protective order motion and set scheduling. The EEOC decided to appeal and eventually the parties settled causing a dismissal of the appeal in August 2000.
