In April 1997, the EEOC's Birmingham office filed this suit in the U.S. District Court fort the Northern District of Mississippi against Henderson Investment Co., Inc. d/b/a Ramada Inn and Mainstream, Inc. d/b/a Ramada Inn. The substance of the complaint is unknown as the only document available for this summary was the docket. It is known, however, that following a day and a half trial in August 1999, the jury returned a verdict for the defendants and against the EEOC. The EEOC never appealed.
