In April 1999, the EEOC district office in San Francisco, California brought this action against Vencor, Inc. and Lenox Healthcare of San Rafael in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. The complaint is unavailable. Nine individuals and one labor union intervened in the case. Two days after the defendants filed their answers to the intervenors' complaints, the parties settled and the case was dismissed in June 1999. No settlement documentation is available.
