The San Francisco district office of the EEOC brought this suit against United Airlines, an international major airline carrier based in the United States, in September 2006 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, for violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The complaint alleged that United had refused reasonable accommodation to individuals with disabilities by refusing to allow them to work schedules of less than thirty hours. The case is still ongoing in the district court as of April 22, 2008. United filed a motion for summary judgment in February 2008, which was denied the following March. The most recent occurrence in this case was a scheduling order issued on April 14, 2008, which postponed the trial date to April 27, 2009.
