Case Summary

In February 2002 the St. Louis office of the EEOC brought this suit against Dillard's, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. The complaint is unavailable, but court documents indicate that the EEOC alleged religious discrimination in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. In April 2003 the defendant filed a motion for summary judgment, which was granted in August 2003. The EEOC filed a notice of appeal, but the appeal was dismissed in December 2003.
