The Memphis Office of the EEOC filed this action in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. The Defendant was Return, Inc., a provider of reverse distribution and logistics services. The controversy involved alleged retaliation towards the complainant based on his opposition to unspecified employment practices made unlawful by Title VII. The lawsuit was filed in September 2005 and was eventually resolved by consent decree in September 2006. The complainant, who did not intervene in the case, was awarded $12,000. In addition, the company was required to provide training and had to post a Notice of rights.
