In July 2001 the Seattle, WA office of the EEOC brought this complaint against Tualatin Valley Builders Supply in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. A female complainant intervened in the case and filed a complaint in August 2001. In her complaint, she alleged sexual harassment, namely offensive sexual comments and unwelcome advances, and retaliation for complaining. Five individual male employees were named as defendants as well. The defendant answered the complaint, and the case was resolved by the entry of a consent decree in December 2001.
