The San Antonio District Office brought this action in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, against Plant Interscapes, Inc. The complaint, filed in September 1999, alleged sex discrimination in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. We do not have a copy of the actual complaint, but that information is summarized in the consent decree. The parties entered into a consent decree in October 2000. The decree, valid for two years, required defendant to pay the charging party $5,500. Defendant was enjoined from discriminating in violation of Title VII and was required to post a notice of non-discrimination at its facility and provide two hours of Title VII training to its employees.
