The Miami Office of the EEOC filed this action in the District Court for the Middle District of Florida. The Defendants were Oceanfront Assoc. Inc., doing business as Sea Turtle Inn, Huron Jacksonville, L.P., and Coastal Hotel Group, Inc., all associated with a hotel. The controversy involved an alleged violation of the ADEA. The lawsuit was filed in December of 1998 and was eventually resolved by consent decree in April of 2000. The complainant, who did not intervene in the case, was awarded $32,500. In addition, supervisory personnel were required to attend a training seminar and the company had to post a Notice. The decree was to last for two years.
