The Chicago Office of the EEOC filed this action in the District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The Defendants were National Castings, Inc., and Meridian Rail Products Corp., the company that was National's successor. The defendants were in the business of supplying wheel sets to railroads, maintenance centers and repair shops. The lawsuit was filed in February 2003 and was resolved through a settlement agreement in February 2004. The complainant alleged harassment, unfair discipline, and denial of training opportunities by the defendant under the ADA based on physical disability. Because the docket and complaint are the only accessible documents, there is no information available on the settlement agreement.
