The EEOC's New York district office sued Medical Management, Inc.; Greater Metropolitan Medical Services; Complete Management, Inc.; and Clarie Cardone on December 30, 1997 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The EEOC's cause of action is unknown because the docket is the only document available for this case. The complainants intervened in the case and consolidated their case with the EEOC's case in June 1998. The defendants filed a motion for summary judgment in February 1999, which was partially granted, and filed a motion for severance the same day, which was ultimately denied. The parties entered into a consent decree on May 25, 1999, which at least stipulated $110,000 in damages to the two complainants.
