The Chicago District Office of the EEOC brought this action in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, against Valve Services Group, Inc. d/b/a Allied Valve, Inc. The complaint, filed in August 2005, alleged disability discrimination in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990; specifically that Defendant had failed to interview and hire the charging party, who was a qualified individual with a disability (deafness), because of his disability. In March 2006 the case was voluntarily dismissed as to all claims.
