The Dallas and San Antonio Offices of the EEOC filed this action in September 2006 in the District Court for the Northern District of Texas. The Defendant was Spring Valley United Methodist Church. The lawsuit was filed in September of 2006 and was eventually resolved by agreed order in April 2007. The complainant, who did not intervene in the case, was awarded $25,000. In addition, Church had to provide a training seminar and adopt a policy stating its commitment to offer reasonable job accommodations. The decree was to last for six months.
