The Seattle District Office of the EEOC brought this action in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, against Skagit Ready Mix, Inc. The complaint was filed in January of 1998. In May 1998, the EEOC moved for partial summary judgment and in June 1998 the Defendant moved for summary judgment. In July 1998, the EEOC's motion for partial summary judgment was granted and the Defendant's motion for summary judgment was denied.

A consent decree was entered in August 1998. While the consent decree is not available, the docket states that the Defendant agreed to pay the charging party $44,500 in equitable and compensatory damages. The only document we have for this case is the docket.
