Case Summary

In September 2004, the Detroit office of the EEOC brought this suit against Pinnacle Airlines Inc in the U.S. District for the Eastern District of Michigan. The complaint alleged that the defendant subjected the claimant to a hostile work environment because of her sex and retaliated against her in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. More specifically, one of the defendant's employees sexually assaulted the claimant, and she was forced to take medical leave at reduced pay in order to avoid the assailant. The claimant attempted to intervene in the EEOC's suit in November 2004, and the case settled in March 2005. No information was made available pertaining to the settlement.
