In June 2004, the EEOC district office in Houston, Texas brought this suit against Minorplanet Systems USA, LTD. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. The complaint is currently unavailable. However, the consent decree states that a male employee claimed he was retaliated against, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, when he complained to supervisors that he felt the defendant employed discriminatory hiring procedures.

In November of 2004, the parties settled, and a consent decree was entered stating that the defendant must (1) not discriminate or retaliate on the basis of race, (2) post EEO notices in its Houston facility, (3) provide EEO training for all its hiring and managerial staff, and (4) provide the aggrieved employee with a neutral reference. The terms of the agreement were to run for 2 and 1/2 years. No monetary damages were awarded.

The decree was entered in 2004 and scheduled to last 2007. No further docket entries exist, so the case is closed.
