On September 8, 1995 the United States Department of Justice ("D.O.J.") filed a lawsuit under Title VII, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e, et seq. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against New York City Department of Corrections. The complaint could not be obtained.

On September 18, 1995 a consent decree was entered by the court (Judge Kevin Thomas Duffy). The consent decree required defendant to provide compensatory damages to the plaintiff in order to maker her whole for the losses she has suffered since her discharge. Only the docket could be obtained for this case.

This case is closed.
