On September 29, 1995, the U.S. Department of Justice ("D.O.J.") filed a lawsuit against Board of Commissioners of Maury County and Maury County Sheriff, under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.

On November 4, 1996, following a jury trial, the court entered a verdict in favor of the defendants. The docket ends on March 19, 1996. We have no further information.
