On October 24, 2006, owners and prospective purchasers of condominiums in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, filed a lawsuit under the Fair Housing Act against Sunrise Lakes Condominium Apartments in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida. The plaintiffs, represented by private and public interest attorneys, claimed that the condo association had prevented Hispanics from purchasing units in the condo building.

Following a stipulation of dismissal on October 16, 2007, the court (Marcia G. Cooke) dismissed the case on October 19, 2007. We have no further information concerning this case.
